Ajabu means “miracle” which aptly describes the ambiance and history this house located amongst the fig trees, on the Northern shores of Lake Naivasha with panoramic views of Mount Longonot, the Aberdare mountain range and the Great Rift Valley across the lake. This fresh water lake is home to a huge variety of birdlife and wildlife.

Ajabu is situated on Loldia Ranch, which has been home to Tanya’s family (the Hopcrafts) since the early 1900’s. The ranch hosts a variety of game, and includes a volcano called “Eburu” where on a game walk you can see the volcanic steam jets and an amazing 360 degree view of the Rift Valley.

The area around Ajabu house hosts an outstanding amount of wildlife including buffalo, zebra, Grant’s gazelle, hyena, eland, leopard, Thompson’s gazelle, bush buck, dik dik and many nocturnal animals too. Guests can enjoy lovely game drives around the conservation area or many of the other activities on offer such as tennis, boating, swimming, horse riding, tubing, water skiing, bird watching, hiking and farm tours to the nearby flower farms
